Celebrating Jewish Culture with All Racial and Cultural Groups

The European Day of Jewish Culture is an annual programme that takes place on the first Sunday of September and is a contemporary ‘open day’ encompassing all European sites of Jewish interest. The event is now in its 10th year and attracts well over 100,000 visitors each year to synagogues, libraries, museums, theatres and cemeteries, allowing the wider public to access and understand Jewish heritage.

"The interest of the wider public in Jewish heritage is increasing every year, mainly due to the joint efforts of organising this European-wide celebration year after year. Some locations have established a whole week of events and activities around the EDJC and this year`s theme - music - was a great success with a real variety of activities. These included guided tours accompanied by music, exhibitions on instruments and concerts of all kinds of Jewish music, with visitors joining-in with the singing and dancing."
Annie Sacerdoti, President AEPJ (Jewish Heritage)
