Welcome to Our New Member: Khmelnytskyi Charity Foundation “Hesed Besht” (Ukraine)
We are delighted to welcome Khmelnytskyi Charity Foundation “Hesed Besht”, Ukraine as the newest member of the European Council of Jewish Communities. For more than 26 years, Hesed Besht has been a leading Jewish charitable organization in Ukraine, providing social, humanitarian, medical, psychological, and cultural support to over 12,000 people across six regions through a network of 32 service centres. The foundation plays a vital role in preserving Jewish heritage, strengthening community life, and promoting social solidarity. Under the long-standing leadership of Igor Ratushnyi, Hesed Besht has also been at the forefront of humanitarian support during the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing war in Ukraine, assisting both the Jewish community and the wider population affected by the crisis. We are proud to welcome Hesed Besht to the ECJC family and look forward to working together to strengthen Jewish communities across Europe.
