Another Successful Webinar – ECJC Leadership Lab Explores Digital Tools to Combat Online Hate

On 8 July, the ECJC Leadership Lab welcomed our associate, FOA – Fighting Online Antisemitism, for an engaging online session dedicated to strengthening community resilience in the digital space. Participants explored how social media platforms respond to violent and hateful content and learned practical strategies for addressing online antisemitism through technology and community action. The session covered social media reporting and moderation systems, AI-powered monitoring dashboards, OSINT tools for tracking online hate, and real-life case studies demonstrating successful interventions.

FOA also introduced its 10-week Digital Frontline training program, showcasing how communities can build long-term capacity to respond effectively to online threats. All participants received FOA’s monitoring and reporting training guide, providing practical resources to continue their learning beyond the session. The workshop highlighted FOA’s impressive impact, including reporting more than 150,000 antisemitic posts across 10+ social media platforms in eight languages, achieving an average 67% removal rate, and training more than 5,000 participants through workshops and activist bootcamps. This Leadership Lab session reinforced the importance of equipping Jewish communities with practical digital skills and innovative tools to move from passive bystanders to active digital defenders, helping create safer and more resilient online environments.
