Associate Spotlight: OFEK Supports Lawsuit Over Antisemitic Discrimination

Our associate OFEK, a German counselling centre supporting people affected by antisemitism, is supporting a lawsuit under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG) following an alleged incident of discrimination against an Israeli guest at a Berlin restaurant. The case concerns an allegation that the guest was refused service and asked to leave after stating that he was from Israel. OFEK is providing psychosocial and legal support and hopes the case will contribute to greater clarity around protection from discrimination in publicly accessible spaces.
