The 12th European Conference on Jewish Social Welfare was held in Prague, Czech Republic in collaboration with JDC and the Jewish Community of Prague through their Old Age Home Hagibor. The conference had support from the Claims Conference. This seminar attracted 87 participants coming from all over the continent, representing 23 countries.

 

For the first time ever, sessions included presentations on innovative caring for Mental Health, with presenters coming from organisations dealing with Learning difficulties and Mental Health inclusive programming. Other speakers dealt with Defining assets and challenges to plan for the upcoming years, thinking of the reduction of income by governments and foundations and the diminishing resources designated for Shoah Survivors.
