Member Spotlight – Ride For The Living 2026 Brings More Than 300 Participants to Krakow, Poland

September 3 2026

In June, our member JCC Krakow welcomed more than 300 participants from around the world for the 11th annual Ride For The Living – a powerful event combining Holocaust remembrance with a celebration of the revival of Jewish life in Poland. Participants cycled 100 km from Auschwitz-Birkenau to JCC Krakow, while others joined a 5K commemorative walk from the Plaszow Concentration Camp. The weekend also featured educational tours, meetings with Holocaust survivors, and a Shabbat dinner attended by more than 600 guests. Among this year’s participants were two Holocaust survivors, alongside senior representatives of Poland, Israel, and the United States. As JCC Krakow’s largest annual fundraiser, Ride For The Living supports Holocaust survivors, Ukrainian refugees, Jewish families, educational programs, and community initiatives. The event continues to bring together people from around the world, demonstrating that while the journey begins in remembrance, it ends in a vibrant celebration of Jewish resilience, community, and the future.
