New Member from Tbilisi, Georgia: Dor L’Dor

Dor L’Dor is the first Reform (Progressive) Jewish community in Georgia. Rooted in tradition yet forward-looking, the community fosters inclusive Jewish life through Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, educational programs, and cultural events. It is also the first community in Georgia’s 26-century Jewish history where a woman read from the Torah, reflecting its commitment to equality and openness. Dor L’Dor is an associate member of the European Union for Progressive Judaism (EUPJ) and maintains strong ties with international partners, including Temple Ner Tamid in New Jersey, while actively working to build bridges with local and global Jewish and non-Jewish organizations.
