New member – Jewish Community of Oslo, Norway

We are thrilled to welcome Jewish community of Oslo as our new member.

The Jewish Community of Oslo (Det Mosaiske Trossamfund), founded in 1892, is a democratic Orthodox community where all halachic Jews may become members and vote in general assemblies. Led by an Orthodox rabbi, the community follows Orthodox practice while welcoming Jews of diverse backgrounds and levels of observance. Our goal is to ensure everyone feels at home, with mutual respect for differences. As the largest Jewish institution in Norway, our mission is to sustain Jewish life from cradle to grave. Built on strong volunteerism, our community fosters belonging, purpose, learning, and friendship, and remains an active part of Norwegian society. Our members are both Jewish and Norwegian, with roots ranging from the 1800s to recent generations, in Norway and beyond.
