Spotlight on Our Members – ECJC Visit to Rome
This week, ECJC President Claudia Fellus, Secretary General Sabrina Coen, and Director had the great pleasure of visiting our esteemed members and partners in Rome.
Our visit began with a warm and insightful meeting with the leadership of UCEI (Union of Italian Jewish Communities): President Noemi Di Segni, Vice President Milo Hashbani, and Director Uriel Perugia. Their steadfast commitment to the Italian Jewish community and its future continues to inspire us.
We then met with the dedicated team of the Deputazione Ebraica di Roma, the social welfare organization of the Jewish community of Rome. Their ongoing work in supporting those in need is a moving example of the power of solidarity in action.
Our final meeting was with the leadership of the Jewish Community of Rome, including Director Emanuele Di Porto and members of the board, who shared updates on local initiatives and the vibrant life of the Roman Jewish community.
In parallel, Taly Mair took part in the annual General Assembly and board elections of the European Association for Jewish Culture and Heritage (AEPJ), one of ECJC’s valued partners. The gathering was a meaningful moment to strengthen ties with fellow European organizations dedicated to preserving and promoting Jewish culture.
This visit reinforced our shared values, deepened collaborations, and highlighted once again the rich Jewish life thriving across Europe but at the same time the need for best practices and information sharing between organizations which Ecjc is there to facilitate.
