Strengthening Partnerships Across the Global Jewish Community

Alongside ECJC’s participation in the AJC Global Forum, our visit to the United States provided an important opportunity to deepen relationships with key partners across the global Jewish community. We were grateful to meet with Pablo Weinsteiner, Deputy CEO of JDC, whose ongoing support helps ECJC foster vibrant Jewish life and strengthen communities throughout Europe. We also had the pleasure of meeting Greg Schneider, Executive Vice President of the Claims Conference, and Gideon Taylor, President of the Claims Conference. Their leadership continues to play a vital role in supporting Holocaust survivors and advancing Holocaust education and remembrance worldwide. Our conversations with Gideon Taylor in his role as President of the World Jewish Restitution Organization (WJRO), together with Samantha Hillman, Director of International Affairs at WJRO, highlighted the importance of supporting our members in their efforts to pursue justice, restitution, and the preservation of Jewish heritage across Europe. We were equally pleased to connect with Andres Spokoiny, President and CEO of the Jewish Funders Network, and Ian Kandel, Senior Vice President of BBYO, whose organizations help empower communities and equip the next generation with Jewish leadership skills and meaningful opportunities for engagement. These conversations reaffirmed the importance of partnership, shared responsibility, and collective action. By working together across organizations, continents, and generations, we strengthen Jewish life, support our communities, and build a stronger future for Jewish communities worldwide.
