At the turning points of Jewish history, individual leaders have been the pivotal force giving the vision and inspiration that involves and empowers others.
Communities have to take charge of their own destiny. That takes the sort of leadership that brings together individuals to work effectively for their shared goals. We are committed to support programmes that help develop these personal skills and group visions to achieve that.
Past Programmes
Meeting of Presidents & Summit
Every two years, ECJC gathers top leaders from all over Europe, representing every Jewish organisation, to discuss, share and present their challenges in a common forum.
The 4th Meeting of Presidents, held in Barcelona in June 2012, gathered over 120 Presidents from Portugal to Russia, and from Morocco to Finland for an intensive weekend. The representatives of all Pan-European Organisations, joined in a pioneering move, to sign the Barcelona Declaration, a document of confirmation of mutual collaboration, respect and acknowledgement of every different organisation.

Since 2015, the ECJC Board has decided to make it an annual programme under the name of European Summit. The last Summit was held in Prague, November 2018, and gathered more than 270 participants from almost every country in Europe. You can find more information about it here.
